Las Vegas offers every type of accommodation - from campgrounds to 5 star resorts. There are more hotel rooms in Las Vegas then anywhere else in the world. But if you have never been to Vegas, or aren't sure where to stay, how will you know which hotel to choose unless someone recommends a hotel for you?
I guess you have to first ask yourself, do you want to stay on the strip, off the strip or even downtown.
On the strip you will find the main theme type resorts and hotels. Near the airport side of the strip: MGM Grand, The Mandalay Bay, The Luxor, The Excalibur, New York New York, and the Monte Carlo.
Towards the mid part of the strip: Planet Hollywood, Paris, The Bellagio, Caesar's Palace, Harrah's, The Imperial Palace, The Mirage, The Venetian, Treasure Island and the new Palazzo.
You could also stay at the largest property on the strip - the Las Vegas City Center, or next door at the Cosmopolitan.
And towards the opposite end of the strip you will find, Treasure Island, the Wynn, The Palazzo and the Venetian, Trump Tower, the Riviera Hotel, Circus Circus and the Stratosphere.
Downtown you will find the 4 Star Golden Nugget, the Four Queens Hotel and Casino, Freemont Hotel and Casino, and Binion's Horseshoe Hotel and Casino.
In recent years hotels off strip like the Palms, the Rio and the Hard Rock Cafe have done really well by marketing to a younger crowds. These are all great hotels!
If you prefer to stay off the strip or in a motel type environment, there are Motel 6's, Fairfield Inns and Days Inns off the strip.
You can also find timeshares, and vacation homes to rent in Las Vegas.
Some of the best restaurants in Las Vegas are found in the major hotels and resorts.
To us the best hotels in Las Vegas are the Skylofts, The Hotel at Mandalay
Bay, Caesars Palace and the Palazzo.
