The Museum of History has surprised most tourists that visit it.
This is a definite must for our next visit to Hong Kong. The Tripadvisor reviews are amazing. Many people say that they are amazed at how great the exhibits are. In fact some say "this is one of the best". The collections are well done and interesting. It takes you through the history of the city and the area around it, both geographically and culturally.
You will wander through and learn about the opium wars, and the English colonization, to WW II and the occupation of the Japanese to how a modern Hong Kong grew to where it is today.
Sounds like a great thing to do on a really hot or rainy afternoon.
Make sure you check with the Museum for any temporary exhibits. When we visited the Museum of Art (Their sister organization) there was a great temporary exhibition showcasing the history of Louis Vuitton. It made the visit!
